Airdrie Schools
Bible Challenge Quiz
Initiated in 2005, the Schools Bible Challenge Quiz continues to grow in popularity. Qualifying rounds give fellow pupils the opportunity to support their school team, while the final provides the team members' family and friends an exciting evening of fun and friendship.
Glengowan do it again!
On Thursday 25th March the teams from the four schools who had reached the final fought out an exciting and nail-biiting contest. At the halfway stage there was little between the teams. Scores were not disclosed during the last 2 rounds, so it was a real cliffhanger waiiting to see who had won. It was not until after the teams and their supporters had enjoyed a well-earned supper that the suspense was lifted and the results were announced. The contest was played out in an excellent spirit and the teams and coaches deserve much credit for all the hard work they obviously put in.
The final scores were:
Glengowan - 71 points
Dunrobin - 65 points
Victoria - 53 points
Plains - 49 points
The winning team is pictured below with Karen Whitefield MSP who presented the prizes, our pastor, Alan McKnight and the quizmaster, John Wilson. The winning team were Lucy McAteer, Kyle Ralston, Lucy Dalrymple, Rebecca Harper, Reiss Harrison and Mitchell Young.
