A Treble for Glengowan

Glengowan Primary was victorious for the third time when they picked up the Bible Quiz shield on Thursday night at Plains Evangelical Church . With a nail –biting finish Glengowan took the shield back to Caldercruix on the last question of the competition! The young people had all learned about the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and were being quizzed in the greatest detail about those world changing events. At the beginning of the competition 12 primaries were involved, the final was contested by the four top scorers: Victoria, Clarkston, Dunrobin and Glengowan. The four teams were neck and neck at the end of the second round; however by the third round Dunrobin and Glengowan had begun to pull clear with Glengowan eventually winning the shield. The final scores were:

Glengowan   -   78 points

Dunrobin      -   74 points

Clarkston     -   49 points

Victoria      -   40 points

Competitors and supporters together then went for supper to celebrate and commiserate with each other. The winning team is pictured below with Karen Whitefield MSP who presented the prizes and our pastor, Alan McKnight. The winning team were Jordan Vance, Kimberly Lennox, Aimee McMillan, Lucy McAteer, Jared Leckie and Kyle Ralston.
